Individual support sessions for breastfeeding
Breastfeeding doesn’t come easily for everyone. But we do know that with the right support and guidance, most women are able to breastfeed if this is what they want. If you’re finding it challenging to establish breastfeeding, or having trouble later in your breastfeeding journey, we are here to help. Our certified Lactation Consultants are here to provide you with compassionate guidance and breastfeeding advice. We also provide breastfeeding preparation, including guidance on antenatal expression, if you would like to prepare for your breastfeeding journey during pregnancy.

Assess your baby whilst feeding

Offer support around baby’s latch, milk supply, nipple pain, positioning, milk transference, the timing of feeds, blocked ducts, weight gain and more

Share information on biological infant sleep and how it relates to feeding

Offer guidance and emotional support for weaning

A plan of care for you with relevant resources and follow-up sessions as required
You are welcome to bring your partner or support person along to these sessions or attend alone. Try to book the session at a time when your baby will be willing to feed so feeding can be assessed. If we need to tweak your booking around this, please contact us with at least 24 hrs notice so we can adjust your session time (subject to availability).
